Football Injuries

Sprained ankle: occurs when the ligaments in the ankle are stretched or torn. It can happen from a sudden twist or roll of the ankle. Rehabilitation options include rest, ice, compression, and elevation (R.I.C.E.) to reduce swelling and pain, physical therapy to strengthen the muscles around the ankle and improve range of motion, and the use of a brace or other supportive device to stabilize the ankle during recovery.
